SAY WHAT!?!?!

So I am at home today around one in the afternoon and got a call from Connor's school. It is the school sectary telling me that Connor was sent to the office because he was falling asleep in class and was too tired to be in class. I just put the baby down for his nap and now i needed to wake him up because he is tired??? He is tired because he decided to play and not listen last night. He is tired because he wanted to get up to drink and pee. So it is his own fault that he is tired but why must I come and pick him up? Connor had only an hour and half left but because he is tired he needs to be picked up?

So i wake the baby up and i go to pick Connor up. I make it very known that i am not happy with this. What is it teaching him? NOTHING! It is teaching him that lying will get him what he wants and being manipulative is okay.

I have really had it with schools today. The schools and teachers make excuses about how their class size is too big and it stresses them out. You know what stresses me out?? I don't know putting my life on the line everyday for people. I am tired of schools and teachers that are convinced that children should be on meds because to me, it is easier for them.

Now I am going to age myself. When I was in school, unless you were throwing up or other problems, you weren't able to go home! I have had fevers before and I had to stay at school.

I have an idea toughen up the little kids and let them be accountable. What type of future are we setting them up for???

SERIOUSLY, going home for being tired!

Sunny Days

Ahhh...the warmth of the sun, an ice cold ice tea, working on the yard, and watching the boys play, not fight! what a beautiful day! We went to the Concord Farmer's market, which if haven't gone, you must! So many vendors, so much food, and a park for the kiddies, don't worry there are numerous coffee shops. How relaxing it was. Sipping coffee, talking with my mother-in-law and the kids just playing! It was Jack and Luke. Luke loved digging in the bark and putting it through the holes of the play structure and Jack played hard. Jack jumped, climbed, slide, and ran. He even fell asleep on the way home. Now onto the back yard! Our backyard is a natural disaster! I can't wait to have it under control and go in the back just to relax!! But I like working out there. This week I think the kids and I will plant fruits and flowers.

We tried out our ice cream maker. Due to user error, lol, we made it yesterday but will have it for dessert today. We strawberry with fresh ones. I will let you all know how it turns out. Until next time, enjoy the sun!!

Time time time

Okay so seeing the title of my blog you can understand why it takes me a little while to blog. Three boys three different schedules.

That being said yesterday was a beautiful day! Yard word done and house work done. Earl, Connor, and Jack went on a two hour hike looking for bugs, lizards and spiders. Such a boy thing! Luke and I went on errands and all he did was baby talk...with a few understandable words.

Connor is loving baseball except when he gets out or misses the ball. He is really hard on himself. Connor will be doing baseball camp this summer and he keeps telling me, 'They are going to teach me skills!'

Jack is still our household specialist on dinosaurs! Anything you need to know, he will tell you and boy if you are wrong, he will quickly correct you!

Luke is on the move and into everything. Luke loves playing with cars, trucks, and trains. He plays well with his brothers whether it be star wars or dinosaurs, he will play.

Boys and their toys. The sun is shining and the boys are gearing up for an adventurous summer.

AGGGHHHHHH!!!

Okay So I have three boys and they are boys. I mean the mere essence of boys are energy and exploration. My boys are nothing short. They run around playing GI Joe and Star Wars and yes they shoot each other. Connor, my oldest, love playing soldiers and star wars. He is in first grade and loves his teacher. He loves boy things. Connor has been getting in trouble during recess for playing 'shooting' games, meaning star wars or soldiers. Well, schools are different than when I was in school. Schools are very effeminate and are very about no touching and respect feelings. Well boys and feelings walk in opposite directions. Connor has been sent to the principles office many times for playing these games with other boys. What has happened in society that boys cannot play boy games?? This is my feeling, let them play, as long as they are not hurting or saying something inappropriate. They want the boys to play tag, well until the boys push too hard or start slapping. I guess the idea with guns that they are violent. Guns are not violent people are. If we look back to the 1950-1960's, what were boys playing?? War and cowboys and Indians. 1970's war or one of many cop shows. The 1980's brought GI Joe and transformers. So I can safely say that for over 50 years boys have been playing with guns and 95 percent of boys have been normal. HMMM?? So I am telling the schools unless he hurts a child, I am not supporting them and if they feel the need to do so, send him to the office everyday and all the other boys playing shooting. I will be happy to go to the school board or the superintendent and fight this battle for boys.

Five years

I have been married for five years and together with E for eight. Where does the time go? I remember everything and I look back and laugh. I remember walking into his apartment for the first time and thinking OMG what is this?!?! Pizza boxes everywhere and no food, only condiments in the fridge. I was like where is a soda or water. He pointed across the street. Now yes he lived in SF and he literally had to walk out the front door to get things but really?!? I don't think much has changed between us except three boys to chase around. I still get butterflies when I see him and love just hanging out. I knew he was the one I want to grow old with and sit on the porch looking back with a smile. He has given me many presents but the one I will always cherish the most is his heart and my three clone troopers. I love you E and look forward to many wonderful and excited years ahead!

Happy first birthday baby Luke!

Looking at my one year old, I still remember what I was doing when I started to have intense contractions. Silly as it sounds, my parents house on HGTV. I remember thinking please lord let this labor be drama free. It was but was Luke upset! I could hear him screaming in the room, down the halls and behind close doors. Wow, the lungs on that kid. I remember his brothers asking numerous times to name Luke, Luke Skywalker Duke Emelson. Now, my boys are totally into star wars and G.I. Joe, so that's where the name came from for them. I remember seeing Connor and Jack staring at Luke and just saying, "Aww. He's our baby." Watching them sit in a chair holding their new baby brother and smiling, melts my heart. Looking at all three boys, I let out a big sigh and thought our family is complete. I looked over at my husband and he had the same look. I looked at Luke and said welcome to the family.

Luke's personality fits like a glove in our family. He is a really happy baby but he will get you if you make him made. He stands up against his brothers, mainly Jack, when he gets bullied. He walks and climbs around the house singing and talking. He like to investigate and play with his brother, I think he and his brother's forgets that he is one sometimes.

My birthday wish for you my little man, is never, ever lose your sense of curiosity or sense of adventure. Look for the star and chase it. Never, ever give up on yourself because I won't.
